WARRANTY CONSIDERATIONS
During the execution of our ‘Back to the Future’ program, which focused on rebuilding and servicing older amplifiers, the company faced notable difficulties in sourcing suitable components for units that were more than ten years old. In numerous instances, the specific parts required were no longer available, therefore rendering the product unrepairable. As a result, Bryston offered trade-in values towards new amplifiers to affected customers as an alternative path. Additionally, substitute parts were not always appropriate as they would degrade the original design specifications. The newly implemented 10-year warranty on analog
products remains considerably longer than those offered by other manufacturers.
Based on customer feedback the new 10-year warranty begins from the ‘point of sale date’ from an authorized Bryston Dealer or Distributor not the manufacturing date. Due to the above change, we removed the warranty transferability as it would be impossible to know the start date.
Due to recent customer feedback, we will allow a transferable warranty as long as the original bill of sale remains with the product.
